About 'Rich' Isaac Kaufman Family Tree
Please sign in to see more. Most all of the info on this site was compiled by Robert E Kaltenbaugh, Bradenton ,FL in 2008.
It was printed in a 220 page booklet called "Descendants of "Rich"Isaac and Mary "Polly" (Lehman)Kaufman". It contains over 4500 names.
My name is Adrian Keafer, I am the Administrator for this site. If there are mistakes or additions that need my attention, please leave me message. I can add photos if you upload them to

"Rich" Isaac moved to Somerset Co from Berks Co and married Mary "Polly" Lehman in 1829.( a recent discovery is that Isaac was married on the present Keafer farm in Soap Hollow. His father in law, Peter, was the owner of the property at that time. The house has since disappeared, but its approximate location is known.) They soon started their family as shown. It is well known that there were 12 children. All started in Conemaugh Twp but descendants are now spread over the United States.
After finding the connection of the two brothers Stephen and Christian, I have given Christian's descendants a "ff" in their Kauffman name. They continued the double f longer than Stephen's family, so it helps in differentiating the two families. My apologies to those who now use a single f, I hope you can agree. There are people living in the area today whose names are not included. They would be descendants of Isaac's brothers, Sem and Jacob, plus cousins and uncles, but I'm working on it. If you would like to have access, go to the upper right hand corner and click on the access code request.
In 2022, I have begun to add siblings of Rich Isaac. They are found by going to Isaac's father, Jacob. This a work in progress and I cannot verify this information to be totally accurate. I've found various sources to be in conflict with each other. Rich Isaac remains the focus of this site, and his descendants are marked with an aqua square. |
